Hello.

Been a windows user all my life but decided to jump ship to ubuntu.
I donīt fully understand the structure for ubuntu installion regarding folders and need help to setting partitions.

I have 4x1tb hard disks and iīm going to use them in fakeraid. Setting raid set-up seem quite diffucult so if I fail Ill just usem the as normal drives.

This is my current windows set-up and would like to have something similar.

(Samsung 1tb x 2 Raid0)
windows 50gb
Documents 100gb
Storage 1.66tb

(Samsung 1tb x 2 Raid0)
Pagefile 6gb
Download\temp 250gb
Storage 1.57gb

Why not just keep it basically as is, shrink the Windows partition down to 40 GB and install Ubuntu on the remaining 10?
