I'm trying to log on today with pidgin,- nothing has changed in my system overnight as it's been switched off but this morning as soon as it tries to log in to my msn accounts i get an immediate crash and terminal says "segmentation fault"
Anyone else?
Kind regards

Software bug is my guess(segmentation fault). Tried with some other programs? Like Kmess, Amsn, or the like?

Two suggestions:
1. Back up and reinstall
- 1.1 Back up pidgin data to a folder (look for pidgin, pidgin-data, libpurple0 and libpurple-bin)
- 1.2 Do a complete removal of pidgin via synaptic
- 1.3 Reinstall Pidgin
2. Get the next release of pidgin. Try:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

ok now this is weird.
I'm at work on the laptop, and now pidgin says it's "disconnect from servers" when accessing facebook via the plugin.
hmmmm..
somethings afoot!
Kind regards
