Hi all, I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 intrepid and I'm having a little problem with OOffice. To explain it better:

It might be a fonts problem... Does anyone can help me?
Many thanks in advance :)

This is a problem caused by the Nvidia proprietary driver. Solved, but I am without accelerated graphics now. I have an old nvidia card, does anyone is using the same driver with recents nvidia cards with no openoffice problems?
Thanks

Well no visual effects is pretty boring. Did you use the latest driver straight from the NVidia website? I have an older NVidia card, and I'm using one of the beta drivers with excellent results. The current beta release is 180.11, available here (http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=1861825).

You can install it using 'sh'

Thanks Cammy for your help, but I do not need nothing special for this rescue pc (the other one at home with a 9800GTS has no problems, of course) so this configuration is ok for me. Thanks again
Bye :)
