View Full Version : [ubuntu] Update Ruined My Screen Resolution/Driver?

I had problems launching Evolution, so I rebooted (the first time in days), however, my screen came up in low resolution at the login. When I got logged in and set up, I changed my resolution, but the highest setting was not as good as before. I checked the nVidia X-Server settings and set to the 2nd highest resolution 1152x864, which is still less than I had before. The highest resolution distorts badly, especially at the edges. When I view photos, they are fuzzy now. The most recent update (Wednesday) had nothing to do with the display. I'm running an ASUS nVidia 9500GT video card. Anybody know what happened and how to fix?

I rebooted and now can adjust the resolution all the way to an unreadable 2048x1536. I also noticed that it now detects my monitor again. WTF happened before?

I'm also having troubles after an update... and will be watching for a response.

Any way to back out the last update ?
