Hi, I'm very, very new to Ubuntu, in fact I can't even get it to install. Its version 8.10 and it stops on "Loading Bluetooth" and thats it. I don't need bluetooth on my P.C. so can I disable it somehow. Plus can anyone tell me what is the best way to learn
Ubuntu, everybody else seems to understand whats going on and Im a bit lost.

Thanks

Try disconnecting all your usb devices. Let ubuntu load and then reconnect them.

i would go with hardy heron as it is the lts version (long term support).
and has had most bugs ironed out.
i know a lot of people are d/l and installing ibex, but it is still very new,and it normally takes say a few months for it to become more stable.
when i installed gutsy gibbon when it was first released,i too had these
teething probs..
