Hello,
I recently installed Ubuntu 8.10 on my laptop and am trying to run in extended display mode.
My primary monitor is a 1440x900 HP 17" monitor. My secondary display is my laptop screen (1440x1050)
When I setup my resolution in this fashion using the 'Screen Resolution' utility, it asks me to log out. I log out and then I am left with the background of the login screen and nothing else. The only way I can fix it is to reboot, select recovery mode, fix X server and log back in.
I assume the issue is due to the disparate resolutions. Is there a way to fix this?
