Specifically I've been trying to get Wired to build on Warty and it crashes and burns.

But more to the point, I'm an old Mandrake user and a hobby-musician. I've grown quite spoiled with the likes of Thac's optimized music applications compiled for Mandrake:

Alien won't cut it on custom built rpms with tons of contrib dependancies and I've searched google to no avail! Is anyone in the debian or ubuntu communities obsessed with packaging music apps to the same extent? Help me, I need my fix.
