Hey all, I'm brand new to this Ubuntu business, so I won't pretend to have ANY idea of what I am talking about. I am a quick learner, but I dont even know where to begin, so please speak simply with me.

Anyways, I've downloaded Celtx, a screenwriting program, and have on my external hardrive the .tar.gz file. I have extracted it to the same folder in the hardrive, ready to install!

There is NO make file.
There is NO readme.
I have NO idea what to do.

Anything?

from their website
To install Celtx on your Linux computer:

1. Download the appropriate language file to your computer.
2. Right click installation file and select 'Extract to'.
3. Then double click the celtx file inside the celtx folder to launch Celtx.

The instructions are on the Celtx website:
To install Celtx on your Linux computer:

1. Download the appropriate language file to your computer.
2. Right click installation file and select 'Extract to'.
3. Then double click the celtx file inside the celtx folder to launch Celtx.

If you want to make it available to other users on the machine, you can move the celtx folder into /usr/local. If others have trouble running it, you might need to right-click on the celtx folder and check that other users have adequate permissions (read and execute) for it and its contents.

Is it the Celtx-Bin file you click on? Because I click on it but nothing is loading for me :(

It's the only file once extracted with a considerable size amount.

There is also a file just named celtx which is the file that actually executes the application.
