does anyone know when OOo3 will be available for Ubuntu? As much as I like how I've got OOo 2.4.1 set up, I have been using OOo3 in XP since Novell released it's version, just because I can actually r/w in .docx, etc. I'm hoping it won't be too much longer, but I wasn't on top of when 2.4.1 was made available for Ubuntu...

In System-->Administration-->software sources, go to "third party software" tab and add "deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/openoffice-pkgs/ubuntu", close and reload. Go to synaptic and install openoffice.org. Done.
