I've downloaded ubuntu 8.10 and burned it on a DVD and tried to start the full installation. My computer can detect the DVD easily and I'm able to boot on it. After 1+ hour on the Ubuntu loading screen after selecting full installation in the boot menu, the mouse cursor finally appeared, but only on a black screen and from there nothing else happen.
I don't know if it is a driver problem or a hardware problem, so if anybody could help, I'll be grateful!

AMD athlon 64 - 3800+
2g of Ram DDR
ATI radeaon HD 4850
Seagate SATA 250g HDD
Chaintech VN4-ultra motherboard
