I just wanted to point that out, I've been bugging the poor guy all night with bugreports - yet he still manages to be polite.. I'm impressed, developers are usually much more bitter when you break their code.

Matt Zimmerman rocks, too!

Same reason.

I'm nice too... I just don't have any code to break.

Maybe that's why.

I'm pretty bitter if you cause Nagios to flare up... Is that analogous?

Agreed about Matt; the devs are very patient and understanding, as exactly opposed to the claims of some distro fanboy trolls insulting them here.

Who are these people you speak of?

They are developers of Ubuntu. Matt is one of the chief developers.

Very nice guys indeed. If you read their responses in the bug-reports you'll find it! ;-)

DHolbach is one of the two heads of the MOTU (masters of the Universe) They oversee the security and integration of all of the universe packages (Huge task!)

Matt Zimmerman is the chief technial officer for Ubuntu. He oversees the technical board and whoen every single bit about the workings of your favorite OS. He is also the Debian Maintainer for apt.

I do not know what Daniel Holbach maintains in Debian.

Godlike status of course.. what else?

https://launchpad.net/people/dholbach/+packages however is the list of packages he maintains within Ubuntu, I don't know about Debian because I frankly don't care.
