Hi guys I have a gateway computer here that I want to install ubuntu on It came with windows XP Media Center. I have an operating system disk which came with the computer, however when I'm in Gparted I'm also seeing a FAT32 Partition Named Recovery. It's 5.38 GB in size and is flagged as Boot.

Any Idea's as to what might be on the partition?
Do u suppose it's drivers?
If I wanted to later re-install windows on it should I leave this partition.
Can I remove the flag safely?

Thanks in advance for your help.

do not delete that partition. it's the restore partiton. at startup you see a brief message press (whatever) to start restore (or something like that). you'll need it if you ever want to reinstall windows.
