hi
i am trying install ubuntu server 8.10 in a server Compaq Proliant 3000 and the CDROM is not detected, i try loaded all modules and nothing.
The /dev directory not have nothing about ide devices (/dev/hd*), i try booting with ide=nodma or acpi=force parameters and nothing
some idea for detect the CDROM device?
