just install GRUB?

I had 8.1 and XP dual booting but had to install the XP again.

Now I have no boot loader (not sure if this is right term). I don't have a choice of booting into 8.1.

Is there a way to just install GRUB? so I can have a choice of 8.1 or XP (like to avoid full installation of the 8.1)
