open source organisations

hi all

i been doing some reseach on open source software in developing countries and looking into varios projects that have been setup, i have alot of secondary reserch but i struggling on primary research.

does any1 know off any organisation or charties that have setup open source projects in developing countries, so i can make contact with them

also any organisation that collect recycled hardware and send it to developing countries.
