Hi,

I am attempting to set up a backup system with a laptop and an external hard drive. I am currently using TimeVault but the problem I have is that when the hard drive is not plugged in it sets the backup point to somewhere in my system files. I don't really want this. This makes it difficult to keep track of snapshots and I also have to change the backup point manually when the hard drive is plugged in. Is there a way, or another program, to only have something that backs up to the the external hard drive and when the hard drive is not plugged in it doesn't back up? If anyone knows anything please let me know. Thank you.
