Ive been trying to install ubuntu for months now on my new desktop. The problem is that any time i put the CD into my drive it will show the language selection, then the install or try menu and the the loading bar and then the BusyBox command line. I have no idea why this is happening.

I tried the following:

-Disconnecting my HD with vista on and only having an unformated HD plugged in
-2 different CD drives
-selecting try ubuntu
-selecting install ubuntu

I have no idea what's wrong, ive googled it but cant find any solution. Please help, vista is really annoying me.

This is my system:
ASUS P5Q-E
Intel Q9450
4GB corsairs XMS
ATI 3450 512MB
3 Sata-HD's
2 Sata-DVD drives (one read only, one read+write)

Thankyou! I first downloaded the 8.10 version and magically it worked with 8.10, no problems (except that ubuntu installed on one harddrive and installed grub to another harddrive :s, which obviously didnt work, just disconnected the other drives and reinstalled) :)
