Does firefox support webdav?

Does Ubuntu 8.10 Firefox have the webdav extension built in? Firefox has a native webdav class ("@mozilla.org/webdav/service;1"). By default it should be compiled in. Where is it if it is available? If not how do I recompile Firefox for Ubuntu? I already tried to compile it but there are files missing.

You can just get the appropriate extension here (http://webfolder.mozdev.org/installation.html) and install it. It works fine for me on jaunty.
