Sorry. Rant.
My Gnome is set up beautifully. I have it all working just right.
Unfortunately, I rely on a few KDE apps, not the least of which is JuK (yes, I've tried XMMS, Banshee, Rhythmbox, Beep, Noatun, and AmaroK--JuK works best for me; best being relative, of course).
Just today, for absolutely no reason, JuK just started crashing on me. You know. When you get the dialogue with the exploding yellow and gray K on the black background and it says something about there being no trace or whatever.
I tried uninstalling JuK completely from Synaptic. I tried doing a killall juk. The only way I was able to solve the problem was by deleting the entire ~/.kde folder.
KDE is beautiful and has a lot of things going for it, but geez...
Anyway. Things are working cool again.
