[SOLVED] how to create a launcher?

when we download files rather than .deb files,we should create a launcher,how to do it???
here where i got a problem........
i downloaded songbird and i extracted its content,then when i click on songbird,it runs through terminal then it functions well,but i need a launcher for it under applications menu,please help to create a launcher

You can try creating a launcher for it on the top panel. Place a cursor up there and press the right button. Pick the first option, Creating Custom Launcher. For the Command option (the second line), browse to where you unpack songbird and click on that. Once you're done, you just have to click the icon on the panel to run it.
