I have installed ubuntu inside windows Xp, and when using my dell CRT if is able get the log on screen fine and log in no problems, I connected my HP flat panel and now I get a bouncing error msg saying I need to set it to 1280x1024, if i disconnect the LCD and connect the CRT log in then I can connect the LCD again and no problems , just when the LCD is connected I can not get the log in screen , seen similar postings but I am very new to ubuntu and did not understand what was needed to fix this, saw some mention about adding the 1280x1024 to the start up files ??any help would be nice , thank you
