Ubuntu studio 8.10 won't boot

Hi I just burned a Ubuntu studio 8.10 ISO , on a DVD-r CD and when I start from the CD in the boot menu, it says "no boot devices available"

Anyone got an idea how to solve this?

Is that a DVD-r CD, or DVD-r DVD?

When you first start-up the computer, have you tried going to F12 to get a list of boot devices? Have you tried the DVD in anaother machine to see if the DVD is burned correctly?
Did you burn it as an iso - disk image, or as Data?

Is your DVD player in the boot device list in bios? AT start-up F1, F2, or del to access bios,>> then "boot",>> DVD at top of boot device list (+,-, or F6 for up , F5 for down, - there's usually instructions in the bios)
