I am the root on my friend's PC, he's got Hardy and asked me to install the Intrepid on his PC. I can do it just from SSH, but I'm not sure how to upgrade it from SSH.
Is that all I have to do that edit the /etc/apt/sources.list and replace the 'hardy' to 'intrepid' and run the apt-get update and after that apt-get dist-upgrade?
And the second question is: Do I have to let my PC and the SSH run?
