Hi

I am trying to install to a CF card (8 gb). Everything goes fine, installs, etc, but after the first reboot, nothing happens. It just sits there.

The bios sees the CF card as a HDD, and it is set to boot the HDD after the CD-ROM (and the installation disc is out). Using ubuntu 8.10 alternate CD, selecting CLI (command line interface).

Any ideas?

I switched to 8.04 instead of 8.10 and it worked fine. Not sure if the first thing was a fluke or a problem with 8.10 but its working now.

FYI, using a Lexar Platinum 80x CF card and performance is quite ok so far (not running a gui though). Motherboard has an onboard slot for CF card as well.
