View Full Version : [ubuntu] Sony Vaio CS110E Touch controls/Brightness

I just received a new sony vaio cs110e, which I quickly installed ubuntu 8.10 upon. It seems as though most of the hardware works great, however, the new touch controls and capture button dont seem to work. I tried to get an output in xev, but was unable to get any output from these buttons. They are the kind you touch without pressing a button and lights up from beneath. Any help on enabling these would be great.

Also I tried to adjust the screen brightness (its very bright by default), but found that I was unable to dim the screen with any controls. I tried all the hotkeys and the power settings, but the screen will not dim. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Thanks in advance.
Let me know if there is anymore information required to get this working.

Also I am unable to enable the microphone, even after checking all necessary boxes in volume controls and changing the volume and mutes.
