Yesterday, IBM announced a Linux-based virtual desktop. It costs substantially less than a Windows setup. But IBM’s offering probably won’t unseat Windows and Office.

Glad to see them get into the act on this, especially considering their present level of involvement and commitment to F/OSS.

That being said, don't we kind of already have a desktop alternative that beats Microsoft's OS price-point? ;)
