Hey all,
I just upgraded to Hardy 8.04 from Gutsy 7.10 and since then I have a few annoying problems.
I will be forever grateful for any help you guys and girls can give me.
I had some launchers on the desktop that pointed to various folders like my localhost and gimp brushes etc. I now get an error when I click the launcher: "There is no application installed for this file type".
I have given my account permission of a few folders that the launchers point to but I still have the problem .
Another issue, not really a problem but maybe linked to the other problem(?), is that I can't open the Ubuntu help file that is sitting in the task bar. The loading disc shows up, does its spinning thing and then vanishes.
I thought I should add, the update was through the updater (the icon that shows up on the task bar when there is an update) I didn't try to do it manually so I don't think it is something that I did lol
The only thing that failed to update was MySQL, apart from that, everything else worked with no errors.
I hope that all makes sense to someone!
Thanks in advance
