Hi,

I'm looking for a webcam that ubuntu install by itself (no manual configuration), with a good image quality.

This is for ubuntu hardy but I can update to intrepid if needed.

Thanks for any help

Check here (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SkypeWebCams) would be a good start. A sure bet is to buy a Logitech one.

Thanks for the link. In the meantime, I read that the webcam that are compatible with "usb class video" works in linux (which include webcam that are "vista ready" or something), but I'm not sure if is is all or some of these webcams that works in linux. The logitech quickam E3500 is reported to work.
I'll have a look also to the logitech one.
