Hi folks,
I know that this a problem with a lot of nvidia cards, but I have not seen a solution for me. The thing is that when a do a fresh install of Ubuntu 8.10, the live cd is working but during the installation itself the system send a message that it has tried to start the graphics server is not able to start after several tries.
The only solution for me is to get back to 8.04 LTS, which I dont have problems to run the graphics server in 2D mode (not in 3d mode where I have to install Envy and install a old driver to get the 6200 run properly).
The same thing ocurrs with a nvidia FX5800 card in another computer.
