Nvida Drivers

I wanted to replace the default drivers with the Nvidia distribution and i tried to do the instruction they gave me but that end in a quick abrupt error message. are the drivers available in a repository some were or are there better instructions some one can give me?

They are right there in the repository. Install the right one ("new" driver versus "old" driver). You'll then need to activate the driver in whatever "Hardware Drivers" (as it is called in Kubuntu) program ships with Ubuntu ....and then reboot to use the driver.
