My apt is broken!

I tried upgrading wine & see this:
sudo apt-get -f install
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Correcting dependencies... Done
The following extra packages will be installed:
wine-dev

wine-dev

Segmentation fault

Any help guys??

Can you post your /etc/apt/sources.list?

Any help?

I also went to this webpage which said i have to clear all the apt caches @ /vat/cache/apt. But turned out to be of no use.

I have ever run into this question, and fix it just type some commands like "sudo apt-get clean" "sudo apt-get autoclean" "sudo apt-get update". You can try.

this is what happens:

i did apt-get clean... Seemed to help for a while but it failed me :(

sudo dpkg --configure -a

a shot in the dark



sudo apt-get update




sudo apt-get upgrade

edit: in synaptic also try fixing broken packages

I dont have a problem with apt-get update... it is only with apt-get install...

Now, my apt-get upgrade segfaulted :( what do i do??
