Hi All,
I thought I had overcome earlier problems I was having with Ubuntu 8.10 by over righting the upgrade I did with the live cd so I had a fresh install of 8.10.

All seemed well until I booted back into Vista to reset EasyBCD to restore Vista as primary boot loader, and add Ubuntu. But when I do that , no matter what I try, all I get when selecting Ubuntu at the boot menu is grub> and I do not know what to do next. Please Help?

Thanks.

Maybe this tutorial will help you:

Also, just curious but is there some particular reason why you want to use Vista's boot loader instead of Grub?

I have seen that tutorial, but it has not helped. Ubuntu 8.10 is coming very close to p***ing me off.

The reason I want to use the vista boot loader is that I am not the only person on this PC and my wife who is the other user wants vista as the boot loader.
