Hello Fellows:

I needt the phonon module, which is available or part of the 4.4 release of Qt. I've looked at the throlltech site for help, came up empty. I'm wondering if there is a smart way to do it using apt-get or if I need to downlo ad the source and install it from scratch.

I typed the following and this is what I get:

aptitude search qt

the following come up, but when I try to upgrade nothing happens.

p qt4-designer - Qt 4 Designer
p qt4-dev-tools - Qt 4 development tools
p qt4-doc - Qt 4 API documentation
p qt4-qtconfig - Qt 4 configuration tool
p scim-bridge-client-qt4 - IME server of scim-bridge communicate with
p uim-qt - Qt 4.x immodule for uim

when I type qmake-qt4 the Makefile shows:

# Makefile for building: qtmm
# Generated by qmake (2.01a) (Qt 4.3.4) on: Tue Dec 2 23:01:17 2008

so I know I need 4.4, please send me some links. Thanks.
fyi: my system is xubuntu 8.10 running on macbook pro.
