-----If this is in the wrong place, please move to the correct-----

Being at the age of 17, I like everything to do with computers. I'm hoping to study either computer engineering or one of the many specific areas of computer science when I go to a university. Thing is, I'd like to start doing some things now. I was just wondering if there was anywhere I could start with learning something about electrical engineering or anything related to computers?

This is a Ubuntu forum for the Ubuntu Linux distribution.

Here you can learn about Ubuntu and Linux in general.

I'm sure some people are more than willing to help you learn about computer engineering. Just post in the right section as this is not a Ubuntu issue.

Lol, it'd be fun to build my own kernel. I was actually hoping one day to make my own operating system. I love everything about computers, but I just don't know where to start and i was wondering if there was someone on these forums that could help.

There is, indeed. Start posting helpful replies in the Absolute Beginner's Forum, researching those questions until you feel you actually know what you are writing about.

You will become a very knowledgeable person in practically no time.
