I have a dual boot system with XP and suse 10.3 but I want to get rid of suse and install ubuntu 8.10 instead.

I don't know how to install grub and use manual partitioning to resize and install the software.

Please help.

Download from here:

Use this guide:

Boot from the Live CD;install; at the partitioner, go 'Manual'. Use the suse partitions. You can ignore /swap.
You'll end up with a brand new Grub and dual boot.
