    [SOLVED] virus check using terminal instruction

    hi. i am trying to run a virus check using a terminal. i have entered the instruction and the terminal displayed some information. i then went and closed firefox and the terminal now displays only 'nigel@nigel:~$' i tried to reenter the instruction with copy/paste but the copy paste instructions when i right click my mouse are greyed out and do not act. what have i done wrong. i have also tried restarting ubuntu but with no luck.

    When using copy/cut and paste, keep the source window open (Firefox in this case) until you have pasted.
    Why can't life have a sudo apt-get install -f command?
