yay! arch+awesome ftw! Although i got fed up with the frequency of arch updates, and the regular breaks. I'm back on intrepid, giving it a try. going well so far.
thats strange ive never once had arch break on me, but ubuntu broke alot
(thats atually why i switched to arch)
but in the end i guess it all comes down to personal preference
<Junior> I've found myself playing desktop customisation table tennis
<Lucas> as in you keep changing things back and forth and can't just decide on the one setup?
<Junior> yeah
<Junior> I go from 90's space wallpaper and crazy effects cliche to corporate workstation circa 2040
<Junior> currently it's corporate workstation circa 2040
<Junior> you know what sucks about the futuristic workstation desktop?
<Junior> it doesn't matter whether you're foruming, playing lost vikings or rearranging your *ahem* adult film collection
<Junior> you can't shake this awkward feeling that you're doing something productive
<Lucas> hahaha
<Junior> equally, with the geek-out desktop, you can't shake the feeling that you're a fat nerd loser
<Junior> granted, that feeling sort of comes with desktop customisation in-general
if only i could get my bathroom to look like that...
i enjoyed my vacation from arch. the noise my laptop was making with ibex was too much, though.yay! arch+awesome ftw! Although i got fed up with the frequency of arch updates, and the regular breaks. I'm back on intrepid, giving it a try. going well so far.
Just a pretty standard gnome on opensolaris 2008.11, the more i use computers the less i care what they look like, wallpapers are the only things that i can be bothered to change.
