    [SOLVED] resolution stuck!!!!

    hi,
because I failed to install ubuntu 8.10 on my dell intel 82845G because of incompatibility,I finally managed to install it using safe mode. now,the resolution is too large 640*480 (the resolution is stuck and cannot be changed) ...and everything looks big: the cursor, the panels ....

    my question is:

how can I get rid of the safe mode and restore the normal look of ubuntu?

    Hi there.
Have you tried rebooting in normal mode?

You mentioned that you had to install in safe mode due to incompatibility, what was incompatible with 8.10?
Also, what type of graphics card/chip do you have and have you installed the drivers for it?
