    PC CHIPS A13G V1.0 running PCI-X 8x instead of 16x???

Hi there! I've been using the onboard video of my mobo (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16813185093R) for a long time but recently I bough a NVIDIA 8800 GS (pci-e). I'm pretty sure my mobo pci-e slot is 16x but the nvidia-settings report (see attachment) says it's running @ 8x! Am I missing any BIOS or X-server config?

    Can anyone please help me?

    Thanks in advance!

The spped of the PCI slot is controlled by your motherboard. You should check the BIOS to see if there is a way to control the speed.
