Lightbulb [SOLVED] Connecting to a network.

I've installed UBUNTU in my DELL inspiron1420 via dual boot. I'm finding it difficult to get connected to internet. I'm using local client Can u tell the process and troubleshooting methods. I tried in forums but of no use. And also how can I know about drivers. The thing is I don't even know basics about LINUX/UBUNTU. Plzz help me regarding this. Thanx.
