    add remove applications help

    i can not get add/remove applications to work. The button "apply changes" never becomes click able. The updates also fail. What do i do to fix it?

    I have an ipcop filtering all the internet. Could that be causing the problems? what websites would i have to allow to allow downloads?

    Open a terminal (Applications → Accessories → Terminal) and give
    Code:
    sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
    it will ask your for your password.

    Post any error messages here.
