Some students in our comm department here at the U are making a video about hacking, etc... In the movies, you always see hackers or whoever in the background with tons of terminals open with text just scrolling away at various speeds...

I could write a simple perl script or something that does it, but i don't want to re-invent the wheel if there's already something better out there.

Do you know of any simple light programs that you can run that just scroll text all day at different rates continuously? Feeds? Hacker-looking text? lol...

There was a thread running in the Community Cafe, I downloaded the script and it does what you need. The name of the script is oo_improved.tar.gz, you should be able to find it in this thread
