    Laptop won't power on...

    Sorry this isn't exactly Linux oriented but you all seem computer savvy otherwise... hope you all don't mind.

    One of my older laptops simply won't power on. I think it's because I accidentally removed the battery while it was still on (very stupid mistake) and I think it uses the battery power as it's being charged as well. I'm assuming there isn't a quick fix for this but is there anyway to be sure so I know exactly how to solve this problem?

    I would check the power brick to make sure it is still outputting the correct voltage. You can use a simple multimeter to check the voltage.

    Borrow one of the same type and verify that it's the PS causing the problem.
    Also check to see if the battery is properly installed .
