removing x server in mythbuntu
I have been working to get a headless mythtv backend, but I can only access it remotely if I install mythbuntu and configure it that way. I got ubuntu server installed and got the backend working but when I accessed it remotely I could not get sound or change the channel. Basically I got stuck on the starting channel (which I could change via mythtv setup) but if I changed the channel from the remote frontend I got kicked backed to the start menu and mythbackend cpu usage shot up and stayed that way until I killed it.
Anyway, I got everything working remotely by installing mythbuntu 8.04 on the backend, but as I would like this to be a remote backend I have no use for the x server and would like to do away with it. What is the best way to go about this?
I'm guessing it would be something like 'sudo apt-get remove xserver' but I don't want to screw up the mythtv install while minimizing the cpu load.
