#%#!! ATI HDTV Wonder - no audio on composite

I regret buying this card...I had it working fine on MS MCE but on Ubuntu its not going so well.

I have setup the card and mythTV, I have been able to get the NTSC portion of the card working with sound, but, cannot get the composite input to work with sound.

Myth Backend > 'Capture card setup' > Analogue v4l capture card > audio device> I selected both /dev/dsp /dev/dsp2. The only other option here was 'none'.


What now?

Does anyone have this working or should I just give up on the ATI HDTV Wonder / Ubuntu combo?

OK: well I have already been to the Mythbuntu setup wiki for ATI and that did not have the answer...one of the contributors there decided to give up right away and plug into their audio input for the MB (this will not work for me).

I have spent several hours on this so if anyone has info that would be great.
