    Actually if you have any nVidia drivers, just go to the settings-manager and it'll tell you exactly witch card are you currently using.

    Mine says GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

    And there's a GeForce driver and a nForce driver.

    EDIT: Nevar mind.

    Just so you now, 180.08 is already available. It adds openGL 3.0 support.

    You need to install it from Synaptic. "nvidia-settings" or something. However, typing "lspci | grep VGA" should do the trick too.

    Hm, gotta install this driver now. Hope it's improvments for KDE 4 too.. By the way, what's the difference between 2d and 3d?

    Are you serious?

    3D applications, google earth, 3D Games, etc etc...

    2D, Compiz, video, etc...

    I am impressed with the general performance and stability. Compiz have never been that smooth, video has an amazing quality even when I'm moving my desktop cube, any 3D app can perfectly run with no issues also with compiz.

    What video player are you using? I thought there wasn't any that implemented purevideo yet.
