New Kernel -- 2.6.27-11-generic -- LCD Brightness not 100% on boot

Since the update today (1/28) to 2.6.27-11-generic my laptop (Lenovo T500) has been booting with less that 100% brightness and when I 'wake' the monitor it also doesn't resume to 100%.

If I manually open the power manager and lower the brightness and then move it back to 100% it does not go to full brightness either. If I use the Fn+Home button to raise the brightness I do get 100%...

Does anyone have an idea where to start to resolve this or what files / logs to add to a bug report?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

I'd want to report the same effect on my lenovo x301 in ubuntu 8.10.
That is, after logout (or x server restart) or waking the screen
brightness is very low. Pressing fn-home or fn-end jumps
    to the correct brightness.

I did the update today and it was the first update for 14 days.
Current kernel is 2.6.27-11. When booting with the previous kernel
    2.6.27-9 brightness is fine.

    Cheers,
