Hmm i dont seem to be getting sound on my toshiba a135-s4527 is there some bug or something because it detects it but doesnt play anything threw the speakears thats it.

okay sound i fix but now since i switched to alsa it doesnt seemt o be shutting down right at all is there a fix to this?

which release are you having issue with? I have the same laptop and had intermittent sound issues with alsa and 7.04. Now I plan to try 8.10 and see if things have improved.

just got it to work 7.04 has problems upgrade to 8.04 or 8.10 it works out fo the box.

Good to hear. Just checked out the live version of 8.10 and must say I've missed it.
