Just recently started loosing Networking Connection

I upgraded to Ibex a week ago and everything has been great until today. It appears after some time my network connection is lost. The NetworkManager says I have a good connection but I am unable to connect to web via firefox or connect for email through Thunderbird. I can restart gnome but the problem still exists. Only a restart of Ubuntu allows for the connection to restored. This issue just started today. Could this be something in one the most recent updates?

Not sure if this is related or not but the other machine I have Ibex on has not had this problem. This is other machine has not gotten upgraded to the latest release of Firefox ( 3.0.4).
