Help with a network printer.

I am using ubuntu 8.10. And i seem to be have lots and LOTS of trouble setting up the printer. I am using a networked printer its a dell 3115cn. I get to the point where i can select the printer but i dont see my model. How would i install this printer.

Because on windows i can install the printer via \\server\printer and it works like a charm. Is there a option like that, that i can do? Or how would i get this printer installed...
